9 teams in

UConn, West Virginia, and Notre Dame lost in the first round (0-3)
Syracuse, Louisville, and Marquette are in the S16 (6-0)
South Florida won two games to get to the second round (2-0)
Georgetown and Cincy made the second round and are still in (2-0)

That's 10-3, with South Florida and Georgetown the higher seeded teams, and Cincy in a toss-up.

There will be likely 4-5 BE teams in the S16. It's a pretty good performance. I wish I still had BE pride.

Pleasantly surprised at how good so far the Big East has done . I figured they were in for a huge flameout.

I used to root hard for all Big East teams in the tourney but this year is different. Really have trouble rooting for anything but a Cuse defeat.

Georgetown ruins things, per usual. After an impressive Final Four run in 2007, they've started cementing a reputation as another Pitt or Syracuse, who repeatedly flame out in the Tournament much earlier than they should.

2008 - #2 seed, upset by #10 Davidson in 2nd round
2009 - Missed Tournament
2010 - #3 seed, upset by #14 Ohio in 1st round
2011 - #6 seed, upset by #11 VCU in 1st round (in a blowout, no less)
2012 - #3 seed, upset by #11 NC State in 2nd round
