I just finished reading an excellent article in The Athletic highlighting the friendships between the families of our players. Apparently the families of E, Paige and Saylor are staying and dining together in a rental unit in SA. A very positive reflection of how the UCONN family is more than current and former players. It includes E watching a video, with the team at her side, from her family congratulating her on her 1000 point milestone. It brought E to tears. If you subscribe to The Athletic don't miss this story. During the recent weeks they have had stories on Paige (of course) and one a couple of days ago about (what else?) the PB/CC matchup. They also named a first/second and third team of AA's Paige and C Clark both made 1st team, but Boston was named their POY and Brenda F got the COY honor. Kind of interesting that no Stanford player made any of the AA teams nor was TVD named COY even though her team is rated the best in WCBB, but w/o one of the 15 best players ??? This drew a few reader comments.
