People always talk about JC deserting his system (the pressing/trapping defense), but he only used that when he had the personnel that fit it, and that needed it, because they would have gotten killed without it. As he got better players, he came up with schemes to fit each individual year's team.

Too small. A great defender, but not physically built for the D that Hurley ran at RI. I would like to believe that if he had Boat, he would have modified/adjusted the D scheme to take advantage of what Boat brought to the table.
