A UConn transfer and walk-on footballer gets his first reception for Connecticut - a touchdown play, no less!

Way to go! Give him a scholly!

Walk-ons are always a great story and usually get a ton of fan support. Stacey Marron is the first to come to mind. She probably could have played for many Div 1 schools but chose to try to make UConn as a walk-on and did make the team and became the first walk-on to receive a full basketball scholarship from Coach Auriemma. She ended up playing on a team with a perfect season and two national championships. Not bad for a walk-on who averaged 4 minutes per game and was a fan favorite.

You are correct, thank you. That's what happens when relying on your memory at 1:30 in the morning.
