The ACC now has a footprint in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Upstate NY (kinda mid-west for this man) and New England. The NYC market is still up for grabs.

ND to ACC Football, while a pipe-cream is more of a reality than ND to the B1X.

So if you are the B1X what do you do?

Could the 16th ACC team be St John's??? If I was the ACC I might do it now, Olympic only. For bball tourney first 2 rounds in Atlanta and NYC, semi-s and finals on Tobacco road. Maybe rotate.

a fball team from the nyc area and ohio would be pretty idea at this point no?

Ohio?
based on a map look, a school from ohio would make the footprint ideal. cincy. then a school from the nyc area would also fill in a hole. ruty or uconn.

only one team delivers the NYC market...Notre Dame...and they are already in the ACC

Gee thanks for the insight.

you must be thrilled that your series with nd has now turned into one game every 3 years and a home game every 6. just one more game a year with empty seats in boston. go acc!

Actually, not too worried about it at all. we will play ND more frequently than most plus we have a HOME and HOME with USC (that's Southern California not southern Connecticut) starting next year. Don't ya think you should be a little more worried about your future schedules?

So you're just here to be an ?

We have a conference problem. BCU has a quality problem that is unlikely to resolve itself. Your hoops program is horrible and draws flies and your FB program is looking at years of sub-.500.. Whether you play
USC or UMaine you won't draw if your team sucks, and BCU does and will. See SU-USC attendance for a prime example.

The only redeeming feature for BC at the present time is that they are in a better conference. That they had to lie and cheat their way into that conference and now suck because of it's move is difficult for BC fans (the few that remain) to stomach. It's also difficult for BC fans to accept that they need UConn because UConn can help them rebuild some semblance of regional relevance.

Comparing USC-BC at Alumni to USC-'Cuse at the Meadowlands is foolish. BC is playing USC on campus. Syracuse played them in an soulless NFL stadium hundreds of miles from their campus. Of course the BC-USC game will sell out in 2014, no matter how good or bad BC is.

fixed that last line for you

Point taken re: venue. OK, BCU gets 44,500 or whatever the max is and still gets killed on the field. If they had 65,000 seats to sell they would probably sell 45,000 on a good day. USC is not traveling to Boston to lose. It's a likely easy win. Getting beat up in games like USC simply depresses the attendance for other games on the schedule. My point simply was that BCU does not have decent teams, except for hockey, a niche sport. Decent conference, sure.

Metlife is soul-less? Not on 9/22 that's for sure, but i don't agree wit your original statement.

BC fans are funny. Like the insecure kid who hangs around with the cool kids,...........BC is still a dork.

Definitely glad I stopped buying gear with the ACC logo on it years ago. The footprint just looks crazy now.
