I know we share refs among a few leagues. I think the SEC is one. Losing teams ALWAYS complain about officiating. And some studies suggest that bad teams actually do get hosed a bit anyway. For example a player on a bad team gets called for a walk while a good player does exactly the same thing and gets away with it partly it has been suggested because refs “assume” the bad player can’t make the play but the good one can and it affects the way the see the play. Best example of the latter was LeBron’s famous no call travel a few weeks back. But a similar thing happens on less obvious plays. Good players and teams get the close calls. Bad ones don’t.
