Cincinnati is at 5-1 in the AAC, and 14-5 overall - some turnaround for Jamelle and meanwhile Temple is cruising as well at 6-0/15-3

And George Washington won today in a weird game - they entered the fourth Q trailing by 15 points, and outscored UMass 15-0 to send it to overtime which they won 13-7.

So Geno's tree is doing OK this season. Nice to see Cincinnati doing something other than losing.

Not to rain on Cincy's parade or discount their improvement, but their 5-1 AAC record is a bit misleading. They haven't yet played UConn, USF, Temple, or Tulane. To say that their conference schedule is backloaded would be an understatement. Also, Tulane is the only one of those top 4 teams that Cincinnati will play twice.

Great job by Jamelle so far. Five wins ties their best win margin since the start. She's had her team beat teams that in the in the past she couldn't get her team to consistently do before. Hopefully her team continues and has surprise knock-off or two.

Oh, I agree they haven't played or beaten a significant team, but they are at least winning games this year against what has never been a particularly impressive schedule, and against the rest of the AAC - prior to this year they were losing most of their games against similar opponents.

Jamelle had a difficult start, got a few recruits who then transferred out the last couple of years, but seems to finally have something that could be 'built on' this year. Massey has them at 122 at the moment which is about 100 points higher than I think they have ever been. They will probably end up with a winning record for the first time since she got there.
