Nothing against Giff/TO/DD but we need the Big 6 to be fully engaged, knowing they are going to play 30 mins. AO & Roscoe knowing they will play signifigant minutes has payed off lately. The 3 guards & AD get 30+ mins regardless but Roscoe & Alex are they keys to a hope of a post-season run.

Now lets kill Providence(probable opponent)and wrap up this freaking bid and avoid playing the opening round "play-in" games that you know some would love to see us stuck in.

Thats a great point. Giving those guys all the minutes maximizes their potential and it gives this team the best chance to win.

Our defense is terrible when all 3 guards are on the court, and Napier's gets worse as the game goes on. We NEED AO and Drummond on the court together more, and I would like to see Roscoe and AO at 30 minutes, because they are the two best defensive players on the team. When Boat and Drummond are trying to defend a pick and roll together, it is almost an automatic layup for the other team.

Napier can't handle 35+ minutes a game. We need to get minutes out of Olander and Giffey, and Giffey is the only guy on the team that is an above average defender on the perimeter.

Totally disagree....Giff has little impact on the overall outcome of games...he is useful in small stretches. I don't love the 3 guard lineup alot either that's why we mix up the minutes between Roscoe/AO/Boat.

The 3 guard lineup is required at time vs teams that press and we will see a little of that. Also against the zone on offense our interior game is not strong enough to have just 2 guards in at most times. I agree our defense is not as good but it's not good at all with 3 bigs in. Roscoe is the only good defender of any of the bigs the rest are average or less in that department.

Calling Giffey even an average perimeter defender is being very generous.

Giffey, like Roscoe and AO, seems like a guy that needs to play steadily to get in the flow. There are many players, like John Gwynn microwave types, that become less effective the more they play as the opponent adjusts. Other guys need minutes to heat up. Giffey has proven capable of playing at this level several times before, including right off the bat in Maui. I prefer to get him a few minutes and tell him to shoot the damn ball than nail him to the bench. We have a serious lack of shooters on this team and we need him to come to life to make a long run.

Unfortunately I think the only reason olander didnt play more was he was in foul trouble. I agree the 6 man rotation works better. I like how AO went in for Drummond in the final 3 min. Cant have Drummond and his awful free throw shooting in there. And I agree - tough to have the 3 guard lineup in with Drummond.

I tend to agree with this too. I'm okay with Giffey getting a few minutes depending on match-ups and if the team needs a little spark since he tends to instill some energy to the team.

I liked Tyler early in the season, but lately he seems a step slow, picking up fouls and making mistakes. The 6 man rotation is more a factor of getting Roscoe max minutes, who seems to be playing his best ball down the stretch. As long as the big-3, Alex, AD and Roscoe can stay out of foul trouble, those 3 can mix and match at the 4 & 5 with Roscoe picking up a few minutes at the 3 if AD and Alex are both playing well, which doesn't seem to happen very often.

As for the 1-3, I'm good with the 3-G set (Bazz, Boat & Lamb), but would like to see more of Scoe at the 3 and a tad less of the 3-G Set. They surprisingly do a lot of standing around with that set often get exploited by bigger backcourts on the other end of the floor.

Remember when there were too many 3s on this team for Harkless to stay committed. My how things have changed into a gaping hole.
