I think despite its northern location and polluted lake, syracuse is still relevant. It hosts many events and ethnic festivals, has many breweries and is home to the Great New York State Fair.

Much as I hate Syracuse, Bottom-third P6s don't have two Final Fours, two more E8s, and two more S16s in the last 10 tournaments.

My guess is they'll be fine fairly quickly after Boeheim. They have institutional support, a large fan base, and a name brand.
