Thanks for posting. So who's D1 on this list and which OL guy is our next Zach Hurd?

I know he is a little on the shorter side, but i really like cal daniels as TE/HB hybrid. If we were going to reach on a kid late, he would be a good choice.

"He got better every year and stayed humble through it all. In 43 games, there was never an unsportsmanlike [conduct penalty], never high-stepping, throat slashing, pointing. He was just a remarkable kid on and off the field."

"Though there has been a coaching change at UConn, Newsome plans to honor his commitment to the Huskies. He said he hasn't met new Huskies coach Bob Diaco, but they have spoken."

Newsome said. "I look forward to being up there and meeting him and my new teammates."

Who picks this list? They left out most of the D1 kids and seem to restrict it to public school kids. Doesn't represent best of CT HS FB

They include parochial schools but not prep schools like St. Luke's, Cheshire Acad., Choate, Kent, Suffield Acad, etc,,, (they have only started picking a complete team the last 5 or so years). Team is picked by coaches on HS Selection Committee (changes each year).

This year was Brockett (NVL), Johnson (CSC), George (SWC), Gaucher (Pequot), Sagnella (SCC), Buonocore (ECC), Drury (CCC), Dellavolpe (FCIAC) and Bruno (WCFF).

Bruno is the HC at Naugatuck HS (previously coached at Bunnell).

There are always going to be kids left off these post-season teams. I really don't have an argument with this one. Unlike the others they tried to select the "best players", in their opinions, at each position instead of 3QBs, 5 RBs, 3OL, 6 WRs, .....etc. It's more of a true team: 11 on offense, 11 on defense, a P, a K, and a KR/PR. I'm sure there were some OL/DL you could make an argument for. Zach Allen (DE/ New Canaan/2015) comes to mind right away. As far as the skill guys go, I have no arguments at all. Newsome and Philips were definitely worthy. Barmore proved he was the best QB in CT. Alex Jamele (1623 Yds, 29 TDs) was by far the best WR I saw this year. I didn't see Nick Weissauer (1098 Yds, 12TDs) play but he was fourth in receiving yards in CT.

I would love for these recruiting services, who rate Marcus Outlow as the top-rated RB prospect in CT, to explain how a kid who has never been healthy in HS projects to be a productive player on the D1 level. For the third straight season, he was a non-factor in the state playoffs due to an injury.

I think each league picks a coach rep and then the Foundation (WCFF) chooses one more to make an odd number and to lead the process on their behalf but I'm not 100% positive.
