That was a terrific offense. Finished 9-3. Wasn't a Big East schedule yet, but always thought we were bowl-worthy that year.

I remember most of that season. Sat up in section 238 and got my drink ON. Very fun season. I remember making a comment in the effect of "geez, we can already beat Rutgers in year 1 and they've been playing football for 1,000 years". I obviously had no idea about the power of cable boxes.

Had a great time at the Rent...I bought a t shirt celebrating the first game at the Rent...until I moved a few years ago, when I lost it, I wore it.

Bob did that live during the pre- pre game show Saturday.

I got goose bumps listening.

Great home games that year. The blowout of IU. The electricity in the building when we played BC. Coming back from 21 down against WMU. Nuzzi's second try at the last second FG to beat Akron. The wild on on senior day against RU. What a great start.

What an amazing season. It was a dream finally come true.

I remember listening to the NC State game and being particularly crushed how we lost on a last second (ish) interception. Was convinced the good guys would win that one. (Please correct me if my memory is failing here)

Last second loss to NC State. They had Phillip Rivers as QB back then.

Was the LB named Freddy Autry Lindsey or something? I still remember the highlights with DanO laying on the turf face down in disbelief.

I was sitting in my dorm in West and I was screaming in anger when NC State got that pick.

To date I will not draft Phil Rivers in fantasy and root against the Chargers every GD week.
