First, how could we play so poorly against Q?

Second, how do we come back with four minutes left down by ten?

Third, how does Q hit two nothing but net threes at the end of OT to extend it?

too wired for sleep right now.

Credit to Q. They have a former UConn assist. coach who knows something about defense and they proved it tonight. The key was our ability to make our FT's. Because every other part of our game was off.

unfortunately i think all of our games are gonna be like this.. as long as we win them, its all gravy

Actually, I think many, if not most, of our games will be like that, but I doubt we will win as many as people would like.

We could have easily lost the game today to Q. I think the team showed incredibly character, tenacity and willpower to come back and win it. But while Q. is a solid team, (I think the announcers said they've won their division several times the past few years), it's still a game UCONN normally shouldn't struggle to come back from down 10 in the last 4.5 minutes to win in double OT.

Don't get me wrong - I love this team whether we win or lose, but I guess I'm just pointing out that I think the Big East could be really rough for us this year. Either way, a lot of nail biter games. I'm really hoping that our bigs show more improvement because late in the game and in the OT's, Wolf and Nolan were glued to the bench until Olander AND Daniels fouled out.

Ollie's doing an amazing job. And I love that JC has followed the team and is there supporting KO. I hope KO gets the permanent gig soon. I still think after the holidays would be a good time to make the decision.

Games like this are going to happen. We beat a ranked Michigan st team not to long ago and we gutted out a win against Q. This is college basketball, games like this are going to happen.

We have to rebound the ball much better against any team we play. Way too many second chance shots for our opponents leading to alot of second chance points(and shots).

As mentioned in other posts maybe try playing 2 Bigs together against some squads.

Liked how Nolan contributed. Need him or Wolf to give us something each game.

Love the heart and the effort-that hopefully never changes.

omar had a quiet 17 and 5 boards... kids getting more and more confident

Not all, a bunch though. That's the nature of a jump shooting team. It wasn't just that they were missing shots. They lost the team concept of the MSU game and just started launching. i htink this will improve with playing more games.

True but I think Q had something to do with it. They are clearly a well coached team. Moore has done a really good job there. And then when they started settling for jump shots, they weren't hitting them. Bad shooting nights happen. Q is a good team. If this were 5 years ago I would have said it was a bad win. But this is a different Q and we just shot poorly for one night. I expect to see Q in the NCAAs this year. They should win their conference easily. This was a great game for them. It was a confidence builder and it was something to look back on to learn from. That's why it is good to play tough teams. Both teams will learn something from this game. I really have liked our schedule so far. Every single one of these games is a building block toward next year.

We played like crap, but we showed some guts and determination. Two skills that were missing last season.

This will be another nice test tonight. This Lobo team is largely the same team that won a game in the NCAAs last year, which is more than we did.

Drew Gordon is a pretty big piece that's not back for them, he averaged 13 & 11 last year

Gotta give Q a lot of credit. They've got a heckuva team and they played inspired ball.
