Don't follow the sport and all that but how smart is that schedule looking? Heard about it on Twitter and could not believe it. This stunt will look awful petty if it backfires and they lose, because if I understand it, losing this game means no WC. And does this really develop fan interest?

They won 3-0 in single digit temps, maybe even below with wind chill. And no, if they lost, it would not mean no World Cup. The stadium had a nice turnout. Maybe scheduling there was by design seeing as they were playing Honduras. Honduras waited until literally the last seconds to take the field in the second half.
