Beat a game Seton Hall team (7-18, 0-11) 56-51.

GT shot 38% from the field, 31% on 3's and 55% from the line.

Did I mention the beat Seton Hall by 5 at home?

Not that it matters, but Uconn beat SH on the road 70-37.

Georgetown is an incredibly erratic team. They completely handled Miami but have looked mediocre at times in league play. UConn should be able to beat them by 15+ at home, though it may be a slog the entire way. I was at the BET QFs last year, and that game was just unpleasant to watch.

I'm curious. How did you know the result of the game before it finished? Your message was posted at 8:10 but the game started at 7:00, so it would not have finished before 9pm???

Just want to check to see if we have a psychic amongst us!!!

Ahh, how novel! The board adjusts the time to my local time zone! I had assumed all this time that the times were EST.

MANY THANKS, DC! I am indeed in the MW--Chicago.

Since you are EST, your posts suggest you are at least as much a night owl as I.

Wow; I'm definitely envious!

Although, on second thought, I'm not sure I would enjoy the night as much if I were required to stay up and had to work.

And overnight television is dreadful...unless you like infomercials!

Yeah...well GT was up 31-19 at the half and then got outscored by 7 in the 2nd half. Sound familiar???

Georgetown's incredible shooting stats are on display on the NCAA site. They are currently ranked 160th of 336 in offense (UConn is ranked 4th), 279th in fg % (UConn is ranked 3rd) and 165th in 3pt % (UConn is 16th).

The primary reason they are a ranked (and dangerous) team is that they are very good defensively, ranked 8th in the NCAA summary. They foul a lot (ranked 282nd to UConn's 14th) so I would not be surprised to see a game similar to Louisville and last year's GTown game.

Doesn't sound familiar at all. Do you think playing Seton Hall at home is similar to playing Louisville at the Yum in front of more than 16k fans? I don't see how or why the outcomes are even remotely comparable.
