I pay homage to VAU - I think I know 4 answers and he beat me with them all:

15 - Knicks
16 - Nelson Rockefeller
17 - Rutgers
25 - Jose Carreras (only because I just saw a CD ad)

And I agree with 19 but couldn't come up with it on my own.

23 - The German parliament, either current or former, I think.

14..From Monsters Ball, so who said it to whom? (Try and forget Debbie and the hated city of NY Giants fans)

18..Drop the Bulgarians and the Czechs, and give me 6 more. Turning to the Balkans would help.

19..Combine 2 colors.

24..It shares an island and has had so many things go wrong .

small, spotted, shy bear, quick of feet, good balance - native to the North American west. Subspecies in the mountains of northern Mexico, fond of beans n' beer. Better known species, closely related to me, likes to "den up" in the wine grottos of Napa and Sonoma, but still likes burritos.

14..Said Halle Berry to Billy Bob Thornton, "let me taste your wares".

15..PG for the Knicks. No pro football, about which he cried all the way to Wells Fargo. Rbny's Foursome sing out.

16..The VAUC Quartet give us the late Prez aspirant.

17..You can be at ease, rbny, Rutgers is dissipating in our rear view mirror. Knights, VAUC also.

18..At least VAUC comes up with 2. The rest of you mugs are hopeless about Euro geography. And you call yourselves educated!?
Anyway, add Ukraine, Slovenia, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia.

19..There once were 2 Rough riders, now there's the Ottawa Redblacks, leaving just one.

20..Pinot confesses to one of the 7 deadly sins.

21..The duck comes down and awards VAUC $100 (Of course that was a bigger deal in Groucho's time).

22..Did you know that Drive was once the opening act for Chuck? Fired after torturing us with
"Itzy, Bitzy ,Teeny Weeny, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini"

23..German Parliament is rightly offered by geordi & Knights.

24..Reading the hint correctly are Pinot & Drive with Haiti.

25..Recognizing Jose, hidden behind Placido and Luciano, are rbny, geordi, Knights & VAUC.

2 3/4 went astray in B.
