14....Rhodes Scholar with hoop dreams.

15.."I'll do the cookin, honey; I'll pay the rent."

16..THE PRELUDE is his magnum opus.

17..Word play: Beyond the Mississippi there is additional acreage.

18..Leader of the most prolific doo-wop group.

19..These 3 are famous for auto parts, but this boxer was not among them.

20..Syndicated NY Times political columnist died in 2009.

21..He and Jennifer had the time of their lives.

22..Fought to get the Spanish out of Holland.

23..In 1935 he escapes the Nazis, comes to America to be a leading rocket scientist.

24..A song from "Carousel"

25..Give this "bad boy" Liberty or give him...

14) Bill Bradley
16) William Wordworth
18) Bill Haley
22) Just a guess....William the Conquerer?
24) "My Boy Bill"...........best song from Carousel IMHO.

15. "Won't You Come Home, Bill Bailey"
19. Willie Pep
20. William Safire

14. Bill Bradley
15..Bill Bailey

16..Wilhelm Friedeman Bach

19..Willie Pep

20..Safire

21..Saroyan?

22..William of Orange

24..My Boy Bill

22 - William of Orange - I don't "pile on" correct answers, but FWIW there is a statue of "Willy the Silent" as it is called prominently placed on the Rutgers campus, in fact I graduated right in front of it.

There are worse responses than Haley, but although he's in the doo-wop era, the Comets aren't doo-wop. Nor were they that prolific.

Werner von Braun didn't escape the Nazis, he WAS a Nazi. We need a Wilhelm.

23. How about Willie Ley?

15. Bill Bailey won't you please come home
16. William Wordsworth
19. the Pep Boys - Manny, Moe, and Jack; but not Willie
25. Patrick Henry ... death

17.. For most of you by far, crossing the Mississippi means heading ____.
Then find a term that equals "additional acreage".

18..Nobody had more hits then the P_______., and who is the lead?

21..Forget the guy who danced. Who sang the friggin thing?

God, sometimes you need such spoon-feeding.

17. William Westmoreland
18. Tony Williams the Platters or Bill Pinkney the Drifters

14..Rob & zorro provide Senator & Knick Bill Bradley.

15..Won't You Come Home, Bill Bailey--rbny, zorro & geordi.

16..Wm. Wordsworth works & rob and geordi become our poet Laureates.

17..Finally, with Best, some one is willing to think about things. He got
William Westmoreland.

18,,Tony Williams and the Platters goes quite nicely. Again credit to Best.

19..Willie Pep--rbny geordi & zorro go to a different auto parts store.

20..In this test, zorro, first names are crucial. We can't know if you remember
Safire as a Guillermo or Billy Bob unless you tell us. It's OK, we got rbny to set
us straight.

21..Not the quickest response, but after I pulled his teeth, Drive gives us
Bill Medley. The rest of you were suckered into assuming "Jennifer" was Gray
and not Warnes. Ha ha.

22..William of Orange ( William the Silent is OK too. What? No one wrote that?
Wrong! Knights did.) Drive and zorro look good in Orange.

23..Ed4 picks the non-Nazi Willie Ley.

24..The guy who's like a tree, My Boy Bill, hummed by rob & zorro.

25..Or give him Cappie. Drive names Bill Laimbeer.

Holy cow, was that fun. Hmmm...next time I'll use "Hortense"

Uhhh The magnum opus of W.F. Bach was the Prelude and Fugue, formerly incorrectly attributed to his daddy. I claim equal points.

Did I give any indication that the title was missing words? Was incomplete? Would still
need some dangling participle? Had an invisible "AND FUGUE?
Fugueedaboutit.

Ok, but I intend to seek legal council for a possible appeal, so be forewarned.

JS; You and I need to talk. Pro bono, of course.
