Well, not the result I wanted but somewhat very predictable. Both teams played strong D but I have to give the nod to mad man D.Brown. Rattled our freshmen qb just enough to keep us off balance and unable to really move the ball. My only disappointment is not being able to at least try a fg to tie. The freshmen qb made a critical mistake in turning the wrong way and in the 2 minute drill you can't go backwards.
Oh well, UConn deserved the win and certainly held up to the D reputation. I don't think we see anything close to that D until FSU in late fall.
Hope those who traveled had a good time, certainly was impressive to see your fans packed in the lower bowl and a few sprinkled up top. Much to be proud of this week. For us, this game may actually be a blessing in disguise. 3 true freshmen rose and probably took over starting spots. (#1 Diggs WR, #4 Brown RB and #11 Hills QB). They may have learned more on the job this weekend than anyother time in their careers. Hopefully, everyone seems to be in slow motion after facing the D of UConn.
Enjoy the rest of your season!
