Kellie Harper receives contract extension

Lady Vols' head coach Kellie Harper receives contract extension.

Her current deal ran through 2026, so this is a 1 year extension and her current salary was $800k so I suspect another bump by $50k occurred with the extension as $50K was added last year when the first extension was signed.

Results have been slightly better with Harper than the last years with Warlick but the tone and mood seem significantly better. All this was done will less high profile recruits, some key transfer losses (Westbrook, Massengale, Collins) and some key injuries to players this year. The VolNation populace still is clamoring for a bigger name but again, they are delusional. Congrats to Kellie

I think she earned it. There were several injuries this year. I think she has improved the team since she came the coach. It takes time to get back to the top.

I gotta agree with @stwainfan. I think Coach Harper has earned that extension. Coach had the Lady Vols playing at a high clip for a while this season. Minus some key injuries, who knows what could have happened with the Lady Vols. For a minute there, they were pushing for a piece of the SEC regular season title and could have pushed for the SEC tournament title as well. Congrats, Coach Harper. Looking forward to seeing how the team looks over the next 3-5 years.

Having Horston for the NCAA' s certainly would have helped. I am interested in seeing what growth for next year. I think Puckett will play at a higher level. Also Wynn she broke her nose in the season. Then Suarez returns and add Pissott, Jackson, and Powell.
