This may suck and not be fair to season ticket holders, depending where the seating is set up. Anyone who has ever experienced a sell out at Rentschler realizes the seating other than chair back is beyond very crowded.
The seating is very narrow where anyone sits on a bench type seat. This is how venues can claim more seats than they actually have. Not sure what they allowed for a butt, 14/16/18 inches but at a sell out if you are not in your seat you do not have one. At least actually where it was supposed to be planted.
I do have to ask if Joe D has spoke to Warde on this topic. At the signing night event he announced that NO single game tickets would be sold for the M game, season ticket holders only. If this holds true does this mean the seating is at 42.5 for the season 2013? NICE............

This seats at the rent? I was at that Michigan game and those are some seriously narrow seats. The rents are like frickin lazyboys compared to that.

Tennessee is probably just as bad or worse. The Rent is nowhere even close to being as bad.

Good idea. But goes against the only way to get tickets is season tickets... Unless they really limit those tickets to season ticket add ons.

I was lucky enough to be 30 rows up on the 40 yard line. You could take the Rent to 55k with just their numbering system.

Per J Silver tweet - normal visitor allotment is 3000. Michigan will get 5000 hence the extra seats. This is being done to NOT displace current season ticket holders. Same will occur for future Tennessee game.

If it's possible to fit extra fans, which it clearly is, why on earth would those tix be sold to Michigan fans and not UConn fans?

Are you talking about the 5000 ticket allotment? That's the standard allotment for visiting teams at most stadiums that im familiar with.

Not displace 'current' season ticket holders? They say this with a straight face?

The seats at The Rent are beyond comfortable compared to ND and Mich. At ND we had two guys in our row get up and leave bcuz we were so crammed in and once they did we were still, uncomfortable. The Rent is a pleasure compared to what the big stadiums have to offer.

At least manuel is engaged in a dialogue with michigan, even if it concerns acceding to their demands. Knock on wood michigan remembers this.

I'm looking forward to doing my part this year and stepping up for a season ticket package. The Michigan game and the whole season slate look pretty darn exciting. Cant wait.

I hope they put it under the scoreboard to get fans in seats rather than social hour standing there.

I never understood that mentality. I'm a big fan of SRO or standing areas. I think it'd be great for Uconn to sell about 500 SRO's every game.

It allows fans who don't want to be anchored down to their seats to enjoy the game while standing and relaxing.

No worries of some blue hair wanking about sitting down in front or any of that crap.
