If Temple was less concerned with running clock and more concerned with scoring during their offensive possessions over the final four minutes of the game they would have won.

they were struggling to score points all game outside of Wyatt. Add in the foul trouble to their two best big men who had to guarrd Zeller and I can't blame Dunphy for deciding to slow the game down.

Wyatt's shot with 44 seconds left was tipped by Indiana. How does a shot from a star like Wyatt come up almost 3 feet short without it getting tipped? I checked the DVR. Indiana got a finger on the airball, which means it should have been Temple's ball on the out of bounds. Terrible call on the officials.

Coaches all make the same mistake on fouling/not fouling on last possession. Unless there is at least a 10 second difference between shot and game clock, if you are down, you need to foul. Dunphy should be smarter than that.

By the way, if you don't think non-majors get hosed by officials in the tournament, you will learn it next year.

Luckily the Refs were on Indiana's & Ohio State's side today. Good game refs! You can tell this tournament is Pro Big Ten!

As a ref, you can swing a game with just 3-4 calls. Zeller was getting cheap calls the whole second half despite being possibly the most overrated player I have seen this year. The huge charge call that Craft drew was ridiculous. It was not a charge in any way, shape or form.

Exactly! Luckily I only refed kids. You can only call so much & their games never had any impact on anything. Tim Donaghy is one big black eye to reffing! If people don't think others are doing it, they're blind. Gotta love they can only review "certain" plays these days. Translation, they can pick & chose who they want to win.

Substitute "UConn" for "Temple" and add "against Georgetown" at the end, and you have a similarly true statement.

That's the pressure on you when you have the lead, particularly as the underdog.

The problem is, and as a UConn and Celtics fan I notice this a lot, teams always run the clock too low. It's good to kill clock, but it's terrible to bring the clock to under 10 before starting to run the play. One good defensive rotation and there's no time for Plan B.

I sense a Boatright sentiment! ;)

It's OK. UConn has been getting hosed for many years. Emeka 2 fouls not even two minutes in.

If I had to pick one thing that Calhoun did that drove me nuts it would be that he started to burn clock way, way to early. Drove me nuts. I'm sure it's the higher percentage play, but when you're team struggles in the half court the way some recent UConn teams have I'm not sure it's the best idea.
