...and I mean "pest" in exactly the way we describe Mo's effect on other teams. Had the Owls been able to hit more of their shots, the Huskies might well have lost last nite. I lost track of how many times I said "WTF was that" in response to a hasty/panicky/too-slow play from our girls (all of them at least once) usually due to excellent defense or effort by Temple. Hats off to the Owls, who got a clear outside shot any time they wanted one -- just couldn't make enough of them to bring it home. If they get into the Dance, and play like that, they could well raise the perception of the AAC by beating a team or two.

And another Hatlo "Tip o' the hat" to the dynamic trio -- 68 of 85 points and 20 of 41 RB to Gabby, Mo and Stewie. The same trio has 2FG% of 63.9/69.5/63.5 YTD.

Natalie and Gabby are tied for best YTD TR-per-40 at 13.19. (Phee is 3rd @ 12.21)

Note that Mo doubled her block count on Sunday and is threatening Kia for 4th place among the starters. :^)

See it all for yourself in the spreadsheet linked here.

If Morgan shot her usual percentage, there's no way Temple would have won. Morgan who was 1 for 9 would usually be 5 for 9. Eight more points makes Connecticut's advantge 33 points. Temple was not going to hit another 17 2 point shots or a combination of 2s and 3s totaling 33.
