Calling the game "ugly" does not begin to describe the a** whipping, massacre that Michigan State layed on to the "all mighty" Michigan WBB team with its alleged "superior" recruits and players (especially in this case when compared to MSU's) in the second half of the game. I enjoyed watching all the Michigan fans standing the whole game, waiting for their Wolvie studs to show their "Stuff" and chew up and spit out Sparty! Never happened, Nadda, Nope, Nyet! In fact, it was the opposite that occurred and then some! It was a complete slaughter and far worse that most fans would have believed possible. OK, I know several folks on this forum were quick to tell me how Michigan has clearly surpassed MSU and has ascended to top WBB program in the state. You pooh-poohed MSU's sweep of UofM last season as being insignificant, and just a small bump in road with everything pointing to UofM's other recent "achievements" being far more telling and important compared to anything MSU's has done over the last 5-7 years. I acknowledged the slippage of Suzy Merchant and her teams during her last several years before retiring for medical reasons, but that MSU was still the better of the 2 programs historically, over the the entire lifespan of the conference. Of course you argued that the more recent "achievement's" by UofM outweigh the more plentiful, long term historical ones by MSU, again ignoring the sweep of MSU over UofM last season. Now MSU beat UofM's butt raw Saturday and will do so again on Feb 9th in East Lansing. And you will try and argue that a 4 game winning streak (sweep of Michigan for a second season in a row) is still not important because UofM players are young and less experienced compare to MSU's. Well, not if you have listened to all the hype of how good UofM recruits and players are. And so it goes.
