Latest article including roster for the 4 game swing

In addition to Allisha Gray, previously announced athletes who will compete in the four-game NCAA tour are: Seimone Augustus (Minnesota Lynx/Louisiana State), Sue Bird (Seattle Storm/Connecticut), Layshia Clarendon (Connecticut Sun/California), Napheesa Collier (Minnesota Lynx), Skylar Diggins-Smith (Dallas Wings/Notre Dame), Sylvia Fowles (Minnesota Lynx/Louisiana State), Chelsea Gray (Los Angeles Sparks/Duke), Nneka Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks/Stanford), Kelsey Plum (Las Vegas Aces/Washington), Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury/Connecticut) and A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces/South Carolina).

Chelsea Gray will miss the game at Stanford and Plum will miss the first two games due to previous personal commitments.

I am as big of a Stanford fan as they come, but this poll is LOL-worthy. Does anyone in their right mind think Stanford is going to top DT, Sue, Fowles Nneka, et al.? Honestly, I'm just hoping our team can put together 4-5 plays worthy of a highlight reel. And if somehow our guards can set Belibi up for a dunk, I don't care if the final score is 100-40.

The obvious poll should have simply been several choices for TUSA's winning margin! Perhaps something like this:
[ ] 1-10 points
[ ] 11-20 points
[ ] 21-30 points
[X] 31-40 points
[ ] 41+ points

It really depends on the health of Diana and Sue. Fowles and Nneka (and Collier obviously) can carry a team, but Sue and Diana’s ability to run and generate offense have been key to USA basketball for over a decade. Still I’m doubtful any college team could beat this iteration of the national team. Then again, crazier things have happened. I think Tennessee beat USA back in 2007 and also in 1999 when they did similar tours if I’m not mistaken.

Maybe the poll should've been how many points Stanford would lead the United States of America after 1Q.

Stanford with an 18-9 lead with 2 mins to play in Q1.

Stanford got lucky that they got Nneka to sit with two fouls. Very impressive for Stanford to be holding a 20-15 lead after 1Q. Lexie Hull and Dijonai Carrington leading the way with 7 points apiece.

If this play is any indication, the gold medal streak is over. USA Basketball couldn't have looked worse. They had trouble just completing basic perimeter passes, they gave up about 5 wide open layups, they committed a whole slew of fouls, and they couldn't throw it in the ocean. Total embarrassment.

I think with the US National Team, it really starts with the guard play. Stanford is getting completely beat in the paint, but holy smokes are Stanford's guards having a field day.

Watching it on my computer. Big 2nd qtr for the US-Nneka taking over-scoring 17 in the 1st half. Skylar gets 2 threes and is second in scoring.

Will see the two games in Oregon live starting Monday night,,,can't wait

Stanford is deep. Very good athletes. I think the preseason #3 ranking will prove out to be deserved.
I had them as #3 in my ranking :)

Fran Belibi started in this game and has given every reason to believe she'll give teams fits this year. Very athletic and crazy high ceiling.

You have to check Kianna at the men's 3-point line or she will light you up.

You can adjust it on the next poll. Have you voted for a frequency yet?

Stanford has some very good shooters: Kianna Williams, the Hull twins, freshman Hanna Jump, Dijonia Carrington. They are going to be so very tough to beat.

Diana’s defense is just completely MIA at this point.

Thank goodness for Nneka because without her Team USA probably loses this game.

Did I hear this right? Nneka never lost a game at Maples?
