Nice. The numbers were fairly even in 2008, but now the women have an actual majority. Which gender will get more medals or have more medalists? On the first question, Phelps and Lochte should be good for 12 or more.

Well WNT for soccer is there (+18) and the MNT is not (-18). That prolly helps.

Don't forget Colorado swimmer Missy Franklin, who qualified for 7 events...at the age of 17, I might add. She may well end up as the most decorated US athlete, after Phelps.
