Best news! Bode well for this injury riddled team to heal and gell together, and ramp up for the postseason.

Plenty of games husky fans can travel. Providence is mid/lower level this year and Seton Hall is playing worse. Seats should be available at a decent price for anyone that’s willing to travel. As for St John’s…. That game is at Storrs South… the Mecca… MSG.

I probably should know the answer to this, but do basketball teams travel on charter planes with extra legroom? I'm 5'10" and I've only flown three or four times in my life. My knees hit the seat in front of me. How the hell do these players fit in any regular sized airplane seat?

I used to work for a specialty charter airline that flew many college football teams to their games. The founder and CEO was a Texas A&M grad. At one time, they had contracts for the Heat and the Marlins, also. Don't know if they still do.

Yes, the seats are adjustable so more legroom can be provided. They even had the old fashioned liners at the top of the seat for your head with the team's logo on it.

EDIT: I guess I'm out of touch. This airline ceased operations 5 years ago!

Was that the same company that UConn used when money wasn't so tight? I seem to recall the basketball teams always went by charter along with all the Athletic Dept. hangers on who went to most away games.

And, those "old fashioned" liners on the seat back can still be found in Business/First class.

I don't think so. It was called Miami Air International. I left them in 1999.

As for the liners, I flew many, many miles in business and 1st class and I don't recall seeing them. I flew Delta mostly. Maybe other airlines have them. Actually, I may have seen them in Asia.

I'm guessing it depends on the school. I have a feeling CCSU can't afford to fly business class like we can.

How long of a bus ride will UConn take before they decide it makes more sense to fly? I'm assuming they bus to Seton Hall? Do they bus to Villanova or fly? Is 3 or 4 hours the longest they will bus?
