That's a higher percentage than I thought from three, although 10 of 22 last night helped quite a bit. If they can get the team 3 point percentage up to 40% or more they should be in good shape.

Aubrey’s improvement is amazing. Last season she barely shot 60% (.602). Her .842 this season is phenomenal. She’s also knocked down a few mid-range jumpers this season to boot.

Having watched the last 4 games of Aubrey’s HS career, I can vouch for the fact that she can score from anywhere. As she continues to gain confidence in her ability to score, don’t be surprised if she steps out to the arc and starts knocking down 3’s, just like she did in HS.

We need more games, on a consistent basis, to get a true feel of how well this teams shoots or doesn't. There have been 4 cancelled games and 2 postponements ( includes 1/26 vs. Nova). Since 12/29 we have played just 3 games.

Aubrey's improved FT shooting reminds me of Kia early her freshman year and Gabby for her entire freshman year. She has made herself into a good FT shooter. Considering how much she gets fouled, that really helps her team. Hopefully, Aubrey can build on that. She certainly has rare skills, even by UConn standards.

Jingo, you have been Aubrey’s biggest supporter from Day 1, often facing the skepticism of many here on the BY. Hang in there and you may yet prove to be prescient about Aubrey’s scoring ability.

There is one thing that does seem apparent. With all that Aubrey contributes to this team in terms of defense, rebounding and now scoring, it’s going to be very hard for anyone to get her out of the starting lineup.

Did she hit threes with regularity in HS? She seems uncomfortable to me. But she has a nice follow through and mechanics. I think if she can hit jumpers with regularity, she becomes near unstoppable and instant AA. Nobody can guard her closely from 15 and also keep up with her quickness and explosion going to the hoop. She is about as explosive as any female BB player I have ever seen.

Megan became a much better, more consistent 3-pt shooter in college. Hopefully Aubrey will follow the same developmental path.

If she can hit it at say 35%, that would be really helpful to this team. Not to mention she would rebound half of her misses and score, so it would be like shooting 70%.
