There have been several posts on who be the floor general /team leader next year. This year Paige has really been both, developing in that role from talent and longevity. With her and Aubrey leaving and Azzi questionable, the concern is as to who can fill that role from those remaining or newly arriving. The importance of this cannot be over emphasized if you look at the other top teams from the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, etc. who seem to be struggling more as we approach tournament time because of lack of a Paige type player. Many of these teams have been built from the portal, and while experienced and talented, they are newly together and as such lacking leadership down the stretch. I believe the UConn way will prove out again this year as it has in the past. Next year will be different and challenging in having to find that special player from many talented individuals but lacking longevity and experience in any leadership capacity.

My guess would be KK. Sarah will be the leader in most stats but she's a bit too quiet. KK learned from the best (Paige and Nika) and since she will probably be running the point its a good guess she will take that role unless we have some totally amazing freshman come in and take over.

Agree. Although it would be nice to see Sarah take a quiet leadership role.

An absurd statement. You have no way of knowing this or supporting it. And you have no idea what goes on within these teams.

KK is the leader next year. Geno has said Chen is one of the leaders this year. So, a transfer portal addition could potentially be a leader for the team too.

KK is the obvious choice, being very vocal
Is she very vocal on the court? I'm not at games, so I can't hear everything. But on TV, you could still hear Nika's voice loud and clear, and there was no mistaking Nika's role in on-court huddles. This is a question for the folks lucky enough to go to games: is KK's voice loud when she's on the court? She doesn't appear to lead in the huddles.

KK is an effervescent personality off the court. All her teammates talk about this and it is really important for the culture of the team. But being a floor general is a slightly different thing.
