Those kids stopped playing sports ages ago. What started it is the opposite. Getting way too competitive too early. Everything is a club today, year round training, AAU, etc. Adults turned youth sports into high pressure situations.

To a degree, but 10 years ago, before social media and AAU in full swing, these boards didn't have too much of an effect.

Now, we perpetuate the problem by echoing everything that's out there.
