Taurasi leads Mercury to Win over Sparks

Phoenix wins 75-72. Taurasi played great (34 pts) and the Mercury needed her to play great. Griner struggled.

LA led this one late but made poor decisions and costly turnovers down the stretch. LA played like it didn't expect to win.

The Mercury's play-by-play announcer was an embarrassment: LA has a player named Olgamookie; we were told several times that the Suns were playing; Taurasi's first name is Deewanna and she's a he.

Diana scored 34 points, including 4 free throws at the end to ice it. She shot 10-15 from the floor including 6-9 from outside the arc. And 8-8 from the FT line.

(The recap noted that she is the only WNBA to have led the league in both scoring and assists (different seasons). In the NBA, I think Wilt was the only player to do it.)

Diana just keeps on reading from the same old script. Nobody like her. Nobody.
