Remarkable stat. Also stems to her college days besides her freshman season (22-1 record in NCAA games). Even more remarkable, most of these wins have also come in games that appear to be tossups, or without an obvious favorite entering the game. She’ll have another one this week at Connecticut...she’s the main reason why I think Phoenix will eliminate the Sun (again) in Connecticut despite being the lower seed.

Taurasi improved to 13-0 all-time in single-elimination games and 17-5 overall in postseason elimination games for her WNBA career.

And, per ESPN:

“SHE SAID IT: Taurasi is never one to shy away from the spotlight, embracing big moments. She was aware of her perfect mark in deciding playoff games.

“"I haven't been aware until last year, when that number started getting thrown around," Taurasi said. "And then it was, `OK, that's pretty good'. Kind of means nothing, though, really. It just means you're comfortable in that position."”
