Tarik Black -- Memphis Transfer

6'9" - 260 pounds. Total athletic freak.

Has anyone heard that he is on KO's radar? I know that Duke visited with him, but are we? I know HFD is going nuts about scholarship numbers, but he could really be a presence down low for us.

I'd imagine since we are now in the same conference as Memphis this is not a possibility.

I thought there was a two year sit out period if you transfer within the same conference?

I'm pretty sure he is a grad student, so as long as he finds a masters program not offered at Memphis, there is no sitting out period. He's got 1 year of eligibilty left. He graduated Memphis in 3 years.

He graduated from Memphis and only has one year of eligibility left. Memphis blocked him from transferring to any school on their schedule for next year, so we are not an option unfortunately.

Where did u see that Memphis blocked him from a transfer to any scheduled opponents? I've read a few articles and haven't seen that. I don't doubt it, just curious. Would love to have someone big and athletic like this instead of Wolf or Olander this year. Get a serious boost towards a ring.

Thank you. Yea, not great, but wouldn't mind having a 6'9" 260lb guy down below to clear out space and get some boards. He's athletic and strong. He's not a star, but I'd rather him down low than Wolf or Olander (after last year). Doesn't matter tho. Just happy Bazz is back!
