Today, the person who writes the story often does his/her own event photography, their own layout, their own editing, and more. And they do it for salaries that most of us would walk away from. My son-in-law was an award-winning sports writer who left that job for one in high tech. He doubled his salary on day one. I, for one, appreciate the men and women who cover the Huskies.
