Perhaps one of the best measures of how well a team takes care of the ball is the assist to turnover ratio. On the offensive side, assists are in large part about successful ball movement. In addition, turnovers are somewhat a measure of sloppy ball movement. While the A/T may not be a perfect measure its, IMO, pretty good. In fact, it may be one of the best measurements to identify well coached teams as teams with high A/T ratios tend to be well disciplined. If you buy that, here is how we rank against other top teams:
UCONN 1.83
SC 1.10
ND 1.25
Baylor 1.56
Maryland 1.30
Texas .90

Just for grins Tenn is .79 and Duke is .75. Do you think they have a problem?

The above suggests to me that the UCONN culture, the coaching, the attention to detail, the hard work and the willingness of our players to buy in to the team concept is what sets us apart.
