Trying to take a charge from a basketball player is one thing. Trying to take a charge from a hockey player is just plain goofy in the forehead! Check out the intense face and gesture post body check. :eek::oops::confused:

Exactly! What was her opponent thinking (before she hit the floor)? We all know charging never gets called in hockey anymore.

That's our Kia. Grit and toughness. Love the way that Kia has been driving hard to the rim... now almost always resulting in a basket and/or a trip to the free throw line.

This was the one play when Kia took the ball the whole way to the hoop in the half-court offense. In past years, she was a bit of a bull in a china shop and prone to charging calls. This year, she penetrates and then decides to stop or proceed. Her game is maturing. Definitely a first-round pick.
