As another key match-up is missed for UConn, in the world of women's international soccer a couple of games are added with, presumably, more to come. 2021 is an Summer Olympic year; preparations are underway:

This is an interesting year to watch USWNT. Morgan got covid19, Lloyd and Rapinoe are older. By all accounts Andonowski is a very good coach. European teams are better funded and may be much better.

I believe that this is the best US team evah. They do not stop attacking on either side of the ball. Against the Netherlands recently, the Dutch didn't get a single shot on goal in the entire game. I much prefer the present style of play to the old much softer, more patient passing game. We have so many good players that they can be interchanged non-stop. Opponents get no respite.

Good question. Over the years I've been visiting this site, I've noticed an enthusiasm for the WNT in soccer. I think fans of women's sports enjoy the high and consistent quality of the female footballers. The WNT reminds me a lot of UConn's bb team in its high standards and championship aspirations. The monitors have been kind enough to allow for this occasional indiscretion.
Next time I'll include "soccer" in the thread title so you won't be have to be confused.
