And you'll truly be able to appreciate what a tough runner he is. 180+ pounds and that kid gives more beatings than he takes and almost never goes down after 1st contact.

He's "trending" on Yahoo because of the long run but I'm more impressed by the fact that he beats defenders up as an every down back.

His quick cut backs when he's looking like he'll bounce it outside but sees a hole are just awesome. He had more than a few of those tonight and tended to gain a good chunk of yardage on them.

Best part of the run was his patience waiting for the hole and then..........................one step and gone. Almost. Still had the strength after sprinting 80 yards to ward off the defender, keep his legs moving and finish the play. Very similar to DB and JT in finishing off the play.

Third longest run in UConn history. The way he got the defenders off him was amazing. True gamer.

Arkeel has really separated himself with picking up blitzers and engaging them. He doesn't have to pancake the blitzers. Just square up, slow 'em down and make them re route.

And he's gotten really goo at it.

That's why he's getting the majority of the snaps. Defenses cant' guess pass or run when he is there.

That's the one I was thinking of too but Arkeel didn't miss a block in pass protect all night if I remember correctly. The kid just plays hard at every snap.

Awesome run. Reminded me of Donald Brown ripping off a few long runs against UVA a few years ago.

I'm just drunk enough to admit to myself that I'm drunk but was that the most bizarre post game interview ever?

Between the background noise and stupid questions I came very close to feeling the same way I did when I drank shroom tea at Yale Bowl freshman year.

Newsome ability to avoid being hit flush is probably the asset that enhances the rest of his game. Notice how he bounces off of or away from the firdt tackler like a pinball but yeah works for positive yards. They break out 90 yarder was coming, and probably long overdue. No question he's a special talent.

Can't even imagine how it feels to be a CT product producing under the bright lights for your home state University. He has made great strides this season. Last night could really be the game that catapults his career as a Husky. What an effort and performance by AN!

Clearly, gray is his color. Improves every game.

I've had Jazz as my avatar for years. After long drunken thoughts I've updated it a little.

I think Arkeel represents everything that Jazz did and I'd like to see him wear #6 before he graduates.

You also managed to capture every fan in attendance

That 90 yard run alone was a career high rushing game for him. Should Vitale get credit for about 12 of those yards? If he didn't muff the punt before the run it would have been a 78 yard run. lol
