Really, I'm out of the loop this week. The wives are coordinating due to the unusually large amount of guests invited. The only thing I'm in charge of is libations (Which is all I REALLY need), so there will be a great assortment of Octoberfests in the cooler.

And in case you're wondering about the wedding: The setting was perfect (Lake of Isles C.C. at Foxwoods), the bride looked stunning, the food was splendid, & the UConn fans were checking their smart phones every 2-3 minutes for score updates on the game.(the only bummer of the evening)

So what foods are endemic to MI? Fried walleye? (Or is that Wisconsin.) Hot dogs? (WTF, they call them coney's.)

Aw, the heck with it, stick to plenty of fest's and marzen's and anything solid to help hold them down. I think it's gonna be that kind of night.

I was two seconds away from posting this exact thing. My friend who is flying up from FL for the game is doing the tailgate so I don't know what is on the menu. But I might end up making the personal choice to keep it liquid and hope that I can black out before kickoff.

I will say, though, that the spirit squad (or whatever they're called) and cheerleaders this year are IMO better than past years. At least we have something attractive on or near the field. They might be a reason not to black out, at least for awhile.

Uh Oh, the wife's taking this too seriously. She researched & found out that the mortal enemy of the wolverine is the bear, so she wants to serve bear claws for dessert. She also decided that she's sick of serving dishes indigenous to the visiting team's home area because the mojo's not working. Lord knows what she has up her sleeve for Saturday.
