Tailgate Menu for FIU Game...

This week we let the ladies in the crew pick the offerings using the criteria that Florida is known for citrus &, as a nod to the large Cuban expatriate population, SALSA!

-breakfast sausage with jalapeno
-turkey meatballs with a chili sauce-marmalade glaze
-shrimp cocktail
-stuffed bread
-possibly an apple crisp (it's apple picking season in the local orchards)
-fruit salad
-hot cream cheese, salsa, & cheddar dip with chips
-broccoli salad
-veggies platter with dip
-beverages of choice

As an added bonus, son & daughter-in-law are bringing along my favorite 5 month old cheerleader to her first Husky tailgate & game (you can't start them too young to be UCONN fans!)

-Taco Bar
-Cuban Sandwich Sliders
-Grilled Jerk Shrimp w/ Sausage Skewers (and a dipping sauce)
-Pigeon Pea Rice
-Pan Con Bistec (Steak Potato Sitcks on a Roll)
-Alligator Tail Shots (pineapple vodka, melon liquor, coconut rum)
-Key Lime Pie Jello Shots

No theme. Just happy to be back in the parking lot after being out of town for Ball State.

Grilled sweet and hot shrimp to start, and then flank steak sandwiches. With a tomato salad and chips.

I guess seafood is "Floridian"....
We'll be doing Baja Fish Tacos (and beer battered chicken for the faint-of-fish.)
With red cabbage slaw and chipotle garlic aioli, fresh cut limes.
All kinds of sides, chips and dip, salsa, etc.
And theres a good chance of....beer.
