Some preliminary thoughts between the grandmas at our grandson's youth soccer game:
Deviled eggs
Deviled ham dip
Devil's food cupcakes with blue frosting
Burgers & dogs (grand-kids coming to their 1st game of the season)
potato salad
pickles, chips, salsa

Formally meeting with tailgate crew Wednesday evening to finalize menu

Are you using Duke's mayo for the eggs and ham dip?

I'm familiar with this from trips down south, & haven't seen it in local markets in CT.
Native North Carolinians seem pretty loyal to Duke’s. Might be worth trying now that Hellman’s all of sudden has a GMO warning on it.

After the last two weeks I feel like I should be eating crow, but I wouldn't serve that to my guests.
I actually feel that you were pretty tempered with your expectations for the season.

I'm fine criticizing myself. I said we'd be better, but that I didn't know that it would translate into a better record. Not for a moment did I think there was the possibility of us being as dreadful as we've been in the first half of the last two games.

That having been said, are there other here who have been far, far further off the reality of our team than me? Well, yes, but they'll have to worry about their own tailgate menu!
