Welcome Terrence!

And congratulations for being the answer to a trivia question years from now when people ask who was the first recruit to sign under head coaching great Kevin Ollie.

Anyone else getting worried about Facey?

No, he committed on the spot under the assumption that Ollie was the future coach, while I would like him signed, sealed and delivered, I can understand him possibly waiting for it to become official that Ollie is indeed the head man.

Can you sign a letter of intent with the specific provision that if coaches change you can change your mind also? Or is it called something else. Thought remembered a circumstance where player agreed to go to a school but had an out if coach changed before he enrolled.

NY Post 9-13-12

Long Island Lutheran forward Kentan Facey, South Shore point Terrence Samuel and current UConn freshman shooting guard Omar Calhoun all told The Post they are in favor of Ollie's ascension to the head job at the national powerhouse and remain committed to the program.

"If he wasn't the one to take over, I may have opened up my recruitment," said the 6-foot-9 Facey, known for his shot-blocking and rebounding acumen. "I feel if I go there, I have a chance to develop properly. He's a good coach, he has a lot to offer, he has a lot of experience he's picked up from Coach Calhoun and other coaches he’s learned from.”

Wow, this is my first time reading this article, man I can't wait until Ollie gets his contract and job security to see what he can do with that 2014 recruiting class.

Most schools will let you out of a LOI if there is a coaching change anyway. UConn would, they released every player who wanted out this past summer.

UConn has not received a LOI from Terrence Samuel, but then again no one is in Bball office to get it

If he is tweeting he signed, I'm not particularly worried about it. It would be nice to hear some quotes by the coaches though.

Brandon Austin said on twitter he plays the point...does Samuel signing play into his decision?

i wonder if he can spell APR. /sarcasm
Easy mistake....I make the same one when writing quick....grammar not a priority on twitter. Just be happy a quality kid's happy to be at UConn.

I hope W Manuel knows what he's doing....have a feeling KO not getting a 3+ yr contract until half-way through BE schedule.
