Foul trouble plagued Elissa Cunane, who recorded season low in minutes played (11) and tied a season low in points (8). NC State dominated the glass, outrebounding Syracuse 46-29. Kayla Jones for NC State grabbed 12 boards, helping her record a double-double. Digna Strautmane was the leading rebounder for the Orange with 7. NC State turned the ball over 18 times, to 8 for Syracuse. This resulted in 8 points off turnovers for Syracuse...with NC State recording 10 points off Syracuse turnovers. Syracuse led in points in the paint, 32-28. NC State led in fast break points, 12-8. Both teams recorded 4 steals. NC State had 17 assists; Syracuse 9. Largest lead of the game for NC State was 15 points in the 4th quarter. Syracuse cut the NC State lead to 4 points on three different occasions in the second half but could get no closer.
