Who would have thought that the Syracuse loss would look the worst on our bowl resume. There are #112 in coaches poll this morning.

I would not be reveling in this except for the dang wind sprints, and the Syracuse message board after their win - comments were brutal - rubbing our noses in it - so karma came back to bite them IMO.

Now, BC was ranked even lower! But I don’t feel the same in the sense I was at BC stadium, enjoyed my time there - their fans etc. I would most certainly go back there to see us play and as I’ve said before, even with bad blood from years ago, I think time to give warm welcome to their fans to the Rent next year. I never thought I would write this but I’m over the issue that happened long ago, let’s start anew - good regional rivalry.

There ARE some Thunder c
Chickern fans (e.g. the putz at the Norwich paper) who should only be welcomed stuffed, roasted, & served with cranberry sauce figuratively speaking...

Timing is everything.

SU had the QB who transferred from NDU. He was awful in the first half against UConn and then found his groove in the second half and OT. It was either the next game or two games later, he got hurt and SU had no replacement. The team UConn played was the best team SU fielded all year.

True and we have some of those too lol at the BC game, there was a bunch of us sitting with BC fans having a nice chat when someone yell yelled F BC at the top of their lungs. That was a cringe for the moment honestly because we were really sticking it to them - up by 20.

that's a good point. Agree 100% but they should've had someone better in the wings. Joe is phenomenal and I think he might be the best quarterback we've ever had and I was there for Dan. But if he went down, I think we were ready to field a decent team certainly not one that's gonna lose 77-7 or whatever that score was!

The team UConn played gave Tennessee some trouble on a neutral field in front of a Tennessee crowd, and kicked the daylights out of Clemson at Clemson. While their offense didn’t function for 50 minutes, that was a good team with their #1 QB, and this year could conceivably have challenged for the ACC championship game. Without their #1 QB, they were toast. That’s not an excuse to not have a competent #2, or to play better with your #2 (we had our best season in 6 years with Zion Turner having to step in), but it is reality.

Wouldn't surprise me if the coach lost the team.

Fran Brown made a mess in bed. Putting that true frosh under center is coaching malpractice. Now, from all appearances, he's lost the locker room. Remember, this is a coach who had his team do windsprints in front of their home crowd after a win. Does that sound like someone in touch with today's major college football?

Big problem up there I suspect.......

Disagree our worst loss is Delaware. Can't be losing to a first year FBS team.

I mean to be fair, their offense got decimated by injuries. The last time they were at full health was against UConn.

Coach made Cuse runs sprints for having to go to OT to beat lowly UConn. Yeah, guys got hurt but I wonder if that bit of hubris lost the team.

I think we agree on the point. If the SU team UConn lost to stayed healthy all season, they'd be a bowl team.

Well, be that as it may, maybe they shouldn’t have been running so many windsprints after they beat us.

Like beating us by a little was humiliating for them.

Not soon forgotten.

Sorry, never like to see injuries but those are part of the game and we’ve had those too. All teams do.

Well, it can be if you follow the rankings this week.

Delaware was at #98 and was a bit better than advertised. That QB was decent.

I thought Delaware beat us. They outplayed us and deserved to win that game. We were outplayed 2nd half and maybe outcoached - we should have gone for 2 in OT.

But Syracuse, we lost that game - we threw that one (w/ help of refs) away. That on stings the most and I don’t care if it’s ACC or 1st year D 1 program. We had no right to lose that one - handed it to Syracuse.

He comes off as unstable. Always saying crazy stuff, acting crazy, etc.

If anyone wants to see the BC-SU game (and that's a real question) there are tickets available for $4 on Stubhub.

Their first FBS home game! It was a bad loss of course but a unique situation that makes it more forgivable. Remember we beat Indiana in our first home FBS game

Our only losses this season were on the road and in OT. We played very competitive football. We're not going to see a top 10-20 team in a bowl, so I don't see any reason we can't be competitive with whomever we're matched. Would love FSU. I think they come in disinterested and over-confident. We can make it Norvell's swansong.

The best part is that they already said they are keeping Norvell. Just imagine the revolt in Tallahassee if this were to happen.

Problem is who would take the Syracuse job? It appears not much resources similar to the BC job. Quite different than say FSU where football coach is given abundant resources.

Yeah but they are getting a Buc’cees. They’ll be ok because of the beef jerky bar.
