Becky Hammon to Russia via South Dakota.
Some question her loyalty to the USA by playing for Russia. However, I don't feel that way. The USA didn't select her for the team. She's a Russian citizen for monitary reasons related to basketball, not just to get into the Olympics. I'm sure if she had been selected, she would have chosen to play for USA. How many of us would turn down the olympic experience if given the opportunity?
Besides, the olympic creed states: The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.
