Before the Texas game on Nov. 14. Like Rebecca, she is in the Naismith Hall of Fame. Congrats!
One more reason to attend the game if you can.
Next will be #10 or #23, depending on what Maya decides/announces.Let’s see but #10 will be next followed by #3. The rafters at UConn will look similar to the NY Yankees in retired numbers soon.
I think Wakanda.Whenever I think of Swin my thoughts (no doubt unfairly) always go
to the two points she scored for UCLA. A classic UConn WBB moment.
If memory doesn't fail me, I believe once upon a time Geno would not agree to retire numbers. His retort when ask such a question was along the line of---we'll run out of numbers. One more reason to attend the game if you can.
The Celtics and Lakers haven’t run out of numbers yet, and they have a lot of retired numbers with more to come. If they can do it, UConn can.If memory doesn't fail me, I believe once upon a time Geno would not agree to retire numbers. His retort when ask such a question was along the line of---we'll run out of numbers.
There have been many great players at UConn who may never get their number retired. The main criteria for a number being retired at UConn is being inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Currently with the addition of Swin that number is only two in Geno's first 37 years as the coach of UConn. If memory doesn't fail me, I believe once upon a time Geno would not agree to retire numbers. His retort when ask such a question was along the line of---we'll run out of numbers.
And I thought that I held grudges!Whenever I think of Swin my thoughts (no doubt unfairly) always go
to the two points she scored for UCLA. A classic UConn WBB moment.
