SVP rips the RPI rating system after it ranks the UCONN Women 3rd overall

That's pretty awesome. UCONN is the #3 team per the RPI. RPI should RIP, that's for damn sure...

Sagarin has UConn 115.86 to #2 Baylor at 101.28. Amazing there could be so much difference. I doubt Vegas ever looks at RPI.

SVP is right, of course. But what are the RPI folks thinking right now? They have all their time (and reputation) invested in a black box that plain does not work. Everyone who knows anything about basketball seems to have caught on (and I think of people like Van Pelt as followers rather than cutting-edge), so do they tinker with the black box, tell the world they're going back to the drawing board, announce it's a one-year anomaly (snort!), or what?

After they beat Baylor by 30 and Notre Dame by 20 and win title no.4 in a row.Let them keep helping these 2 teams with false confidence.Maybe just Baylor because ND knows Uconn well.
