Survive and Advance

Jalen showing the onions tonight and Vital and Vance had really nice games again. Vital seems to always be around the ball, scrapping for loose balls, getting boards really nice and Vance is going to be a really nice offensive player. Great to see them grow even more tonight. Brimah had a pretty big game despite foul trouble and a lackluster looking stat sheet. He had a bigger role than his numbers show. And March Purvis was on display.

Catch the replay if it gets posted. Great game. Good contributions by a lot of Uconn players. Brimah had some good defensive plays down the stretch denying the rim. Like a totally different team.

Good point, you can't overlook Brimah's defensive significance when he was in tonight.

Happy to see the freshmen play well. Games like these matter for their development.

"The best thing about freshmen is they become sophomores." - the late, great Al McGuire.

So does that knock Houston off the bubble? Oh well. Haha.

Now I want to see a UCF/Uconn final. If UCF beats SMU do they get some consideration as the third aac team or no?

Just imagine how great this win is for our Husky alums and fans in H-Town. We ruined their undefeated football season in 2015 and now we knock their asses out of the NCAAs, something they haven't experienced since our own Little Tommy Penders took them there in 2009. Surrounded by Coog fans and friends, we get to trash talk for another whole year. Thanks, guys!

Bob Diaco ruined their undefeated season and Zach Boyle, ill say it again BOB DIACO AND ZACH BOYLE. If I were a UH fan I would be absolutely sick.

The American has to be low key rooting for UCF and UConn final guaranteeing a third bid for the league.

2011 - five games in five days at the BET.
2017 - four games in four days at the AACT.

Who's to say we can't do it again? If anything, doing it in 2011 after a 9-9 conference record in the best conference in America was more improbable than doing it this season against a much less imposing roster of conference teams. And what was our 2016-17 regular season conference record...9-9? Hmmmmm.....

Is it good karma that the guy who coined the phrase"Survive and Advance" is a former UConn assistant?
