We tried the old coach that had the “full support” of the CT high school coaches. We tried the young Broyles Award winner from Norte Dame. Neither worked out well and tanked the program to its lowest levels since going 1A. We were fortunate to get back the coach that built UConn football to a very competitive national program with a strong pipeline of players to the NFL
It’s not going to be easy to rebuild again, and will take time. There is no quick fix, that’s our reality. All the criticism and negative energy is a waste of time, and doesn’t change a thing. I prefer to stay positive and supportive of AD Dave Benedict, coach Edsall, his staff, and the players. Better days will come.
