Kemba, for obvious reasons, is a legendary figure around here. But 3/4 of that year he was not very good. My memory is that Gavin was the only guy on that team to play with any heart. JC had a lot more talent than KO has had the last two years and he just could not reach them. As great as JC was/is, he did have a few years where he just could not get the team to gel and they would underachieve. There was no reason for that team to be losing in the 1st round of the NIT.
