that team played with alot of attitude

At times... They followed up this huge win with one of the worst games we've ever had versus Providence where they dunked on us about 37 times. They also completely quit at the end of the season losing five of six and JC benching all of the seniors. One of the most deflated years we've ever had, in my opinion. Coming off a final four berth with Kemba, Dyson, and Sticks and going 18-16?

7-11 in the Big East
Also Edwards , Majok ,and 5 Star freshman AO and four star Jamal Coombs-McDaniel.
KO probably would have won an NC with those guys ?
All kidding aside JC made the same mistake with that team that KO made with this year and last years team
Instead of installing Kemba as the man he set up a destructive competition between him and Dyson that ended in the NIT debacle at VTech.
Kevin did the same thing both last year and this.
Wasn’t KO a coach on that team ?

My memory is that part of the problem is that that team had an identity issue. Dyson, Sticks, and Kemba all were vying for the "star" status and they would have either (and sometimes simultaneously) be chuckers or were too passive. Kemba, for obvious reasons, is a legendary figure around here. But 3/4 of that year he was not very good. My memory is that Gavin was the only guy on that team to play with any heart.

JC had a lot more talent than KO has had the last two years and he just could not reach them. As great as JC was/is, he did have a few years where he just could not get the team to gel and they would underachieve. There was no reason for that team to be losing in the 1st round of the NIT.

So are you trying to say a Hall of Fame coach listened to his assistant on how to deal with his players? Why don't we just blame everything that has ever gone wrong at Uconn since Ollie was hired on him?
