Watching Maryland @ North Carolina now. UNC has Rolle and Ruffin-Pratt back for the game but is down Shela White their PG. Roundtree(freshman guard for UNC) is pretty good.

Louisville @ St Johns at 130pm.


Sherry Coale and her Sooners will be at TAMU @ 3pm.

The louisville-St. John's game is pretty good. Both teams with good spacing on offense and tough defense. Louisville up by 2 with 4:30 left in the first half.

Geez, Becky Burke is still playing at Louisville? I thought she graduated about 5 years ago.

She is a true senior, 4 years only. She and Mo Reid were the only seniors, it now looks like Mo will be taking a 5th year.

What I like about Maryland is they keep their cool when down or the game is on the line. They dont panic at all. Two straight games.

The announcers for Louisville-SJU are Anne Marie Anderson and Katje Christianson (sp?). They're very good. They don't go crazy raving over every shot and aren't afraid to point out areas where the teams need to improve. ESPN should promote these women and get rid of the deadwood.

Sadly, Louisville seems to have regressed as the game goes along. While SJU has balanced scoring, Louisville's O pretty much consists of Bria Smith driving into the paint (often unwisely) or Shoni Shimmel. That's about the extent of the Cards offense.

Smith is very quick but she doesn't appear to have anything in her offensive arsenal but a drive to the basket. I haven't seen her take a single jumper, very Lorin-like.

The Turtles are going to pull if off again. Maryland is a very composed team! I'm impressed.

hard to tell at this point. She truly plays like a freshman. fouls wise. good hands and solid rebounder though....not a lot of minutes in this game.

Louisville really misses the presence of Mo Reid on the inside.

totally agree. for all the hoopla for the freshmen guards last year, i really thought she was the best freshman in the nation. IIRC she quietly had better stats than any of them and she plays in the post without the ball in her hands. now don't get me wrong - i'd never trade Bria for any of them even if that were possible, but my point is Thomas had a really great season and seems to be picking up where she left off this year. one of the top kids in her class...
